ADHERE BY MEANS OF A DOUBLE-SIDED, 3M, VHBTM(VERY HIGH BOND) ADHESIVE PAD WITH
80 POUNDS PER SQUARE INCH OF SHEAR RESISTANCE. OUR 3" X 3" LATCHES HAVE
720 POUNDS OF SHEAR RESISTANCE.
"SCI" LATCHES WILL PREVENT THE ABRUPT OPENING OF
DOOR(S) AND THE DISGORGING OF CONTENTS DUE TO
THE JARRING FORCES OF AN EARTHQUAKE.
THEY WILL ALSO
PREVENT THE EASY ACCESSING OF STORED
ITEMS AND PREVENT THEIR THEFT.

BEFORE REMOVING ADHESIVE BACKING
1) WIPE SURFACES CLEAN OF ALL GREASE & DIRT.
2) Position Latch on LEFT SIDE OR TOP of Unit with Padded Disc against Door & Stop
Pin in Locking Channel ( SEE PHOTO AT LEFT).
3) Draw A Line Along Front Edge of Base Plate for Positioning after Adhesive
Removal.
REMOVE ADHESIVE BACKING
4) Put Disc in an Upward (OPEN) Position
with Stop Pin
now Against
BACK of FRONT FLANGE.
Hold Base Plate
at an
Angle and Place Its Front Edge On Line From( 3) Above.
5) Lightly Lay Base Plate Down in Desired Position.
IMMEDIATELY Make Any Necessary Adjustments.
When Desired Position is established, Press down Firmly On
Plate.
